Palin to Sit Down With ABC News’ Charlie Gibson
Veep Pick Is Elusive Target for the Democrat
Gov. Sarah Palin will sit down with ABC News’ Charlie Gibson for her first interview since winning the Republican vice presidential nomination, the network’s news division confirmed today.
Palin accepted the nomination to be Sen. John McCain’s running mate 10 days ago, but has yet to submit to questions from reporters covering the election.
The Alaskan governor was taunted by the spokesman of her Democratic counterpart, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, for not submitting to a grilling by the press.
Reporters covering Biden gave the candidate a cardboard cutout of McCain, and Biden spokesman David Wade promptly used the gag to take a poke at Palin.

I’ve read some boards that think Charlie Gibson is a closet conservative! This is all such a mess with the media. But hey — did you hear? Olberman and Matthews are “out” as Anchors on MSNBC – but they will still offer their biased commentary. I can’t help but think the late Tim Russert is shouting from on high to stop the blatant call for Obama as he would recognize it can backfire it’s not what the American people want to hear – that we want to make up our own minds.

Yeah, still waiting to see how this all sorts out.
McCain appears to be running a good campaign – we’re trying to get Palin here in Eastern Iowa for a visit soon. I am doubting that it will be here, but I’ve also heard here that people will drive an hour or more to see her. interesting. -pf
