oh no. you have to stop.

we're not electing the best speaker... Have some Faith!

Just think, the Cubbies have the best record in baseball right now - ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!

CUBS WIN!!! 6-4

BTW did you see the National Black Republican Association put 50 billboards in Denver with a picture of MLK that said "Martin Luther King was a Republican" <a href="http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=pages.PR-MLK%20BillboardMonday&tp_preview=true" rel="nofollow"><strong>Lookie here</strong></a>

Hi -pf ~~

Am watching Obama's speech now -- and it is quite stirring. McCain will have a heavy load to carry to give as an effective speech. I consider myself a discerning voter but I find myself getting sucked in to the lofty ideas he's espousing. And he just used his oft-used line that he doesn't look like the usual Presidential candidate with the unlikeliest of names. He's been pretty harsh on McCain also - very harsh on substance. McCain will have to offer a substantive reponse not just an attack back.

Will read the above article.

As for mortgages -- people will say under Bush banks got greedy and let people obtain mortgages who shouldn't have.

Ah == he just referenced MLK's speech.

For better or worse - I think Obama has won the Presidency after tonight.

oh yeah and didn't you know MLK was a Republican?

<a href="http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com/</a>

The world turned upside down with the disastrous results of LBJ's "Great Society".

Republicans were the ones that pushed for Civil Rights for Blacks in the 60's Democrats filibustered against it! And Republican's were the primary drivers of giving Women the vote.

Look it up. Know the truth. Don't be misled.

(6-4 in the 9th)

what? all this BEFORE The Speech?

I just got home, the Cubs are down 4-1 in the 8th at home against the Phillies and I've been at Republican HDQs most of the night on our Absentee Ballot Request program.

Planning to check a few of my favorite sites, I ran into an excellent summary of 43's 7 years, including how the world was after 8 years of Clinton.

Libra Girl mentions the economic boom of the 90's but haven't we seen it was all smoke and mirrors?

The dot com bubble that bust... Money invested just starts to evaporate?

Wasn't a significant part of the increased wealth based on housing prices sky-rocketing? People's equity in housing = real money (but on the flip side you see how bad it can be if you're upside down on a mortgage as so many are now)

People haven't been saving for the future, they haven't been acting like their parents who never spent money they didn't have.

I read somewhere that pre- WWII only 2% of the houses in the US had mortgages, now only 2% DONT have mortgages (I don't yeah!)... how is that Bush's fault...

slip up and read the article I just posted from the American Thinker and think about that.

and a whoo hoo! the cubbies just put a 5 spot on the Phillies - 6-5 in the 8th!
